fingers...

we tried to give rocco a pacifier but he wasn't having it, he prefers his fingers (which is fine by me because siena is still into her pacifiers and i rather not introduce them to rocco while taking them away from siena). he normally has more then one in his mouth and sucks and chews away.

minneapolis...

rocco and i had a very nice time in minneapolis. rocco was great on both flights and very flexible as we went about town doing this and that. genevieve and darren have a beautiful home and seem very settled in their new city. i'm glad we made the trip and will be back one day with the whole family.

recently we had brunch at natalie and justin's. it was nice to spend some time with leah and julia who we don't get to see a lot of and of course miss stella. siena and alexis had a very important conversation regarding the "specials" in her purse.

4 months...

rocco is all smiles these days. he has rolled over a few times, can put his hands in his mouth with purpose, giggles and screams, reaches for toys and is crazy lovable. life just keeps getting better for our little rockito.

artist.

siena is quite the artist. this is a collection of her latest work hanging in our living room curated by myself. her most recent creation is drawing many vertical lines on post-its or other paper. if you look closely at the yellow post-its each one has multiple lines drawn which she did over the course of a week or so. very interesting work.

31, 34 and 60...

we had a nice and mellow family birthday to celebrate me turning 31, my brother turning 34 and our dad turning 60. it's always nice to get the cousins together and have cake.

at last, savoy.

he finally met our dear friends devon and aaron's, 8-month-old, daughter savoy. they just moved back home from the virgin islands after being gone formt he bay for over 5 years. siena was smitten and asked if savoy could be her little sister. we are very excited to spend time together with our little families.

we finally visited with meredith and miles after months of not seeing them. miles is a super talker and meredith is super pregnant with a baby girl. it was really nice to see them again and we hope to see them again before the new one comes.

happy birthday uncle io!

we got uncle io all to ourselves for a day and a night, it was very special for us all (especially siena). we had a birthday feast for him and siena helped blow out the candles, because as far as she's concerned candles and presents equal birthday. during breakfast siena pulled up a chair to rocco and read him a book. i love big sisters!

bye bye stella...

our blissful days with alexis and stella are no longer as alexis has returned to work, boo. rocco will miss his girlfriend and i will miss mine. these photos were taken during our last yoga class together. the babes were holding hands and at one point stella was sucking on rocco's fingers!

wedding...

(trying to catch up on all our happenings because i'm far behind now...)

over labor day weekend we attended gabe and sammy's fabulous wedding. it was a beautiful afternoon with lots of familiar faces. many of siena and rocco's friends were there including sinai, muluk, sadie, stella, zeke and julius. sammy and gabe both grew-up in berkeley so we all had many friends there. there was music & dancing, running & playing, a photo booth and much love. now siena keeps saying, "gabe and sammy get married."
