36 weeks.

a weekend morning...

we spent a nice morning with isobel and anuta this past weekend. isobel is over a year older than siena and they haven't seen one another since siena was a very little baby. anuta is also having her second baby this may, so it was a nice visit for us all. hopefully we'll be able to spend more time together when the new babies arrive.

our newest friend zeke.

while in santa cruz we also got to meet our new friend zeke. my dear friend rebecca and her partner matt had a baby boy and we were there to celebrate his one week birthday. i was planning on visiting rebecca one last time before she gave birth, but zeke arrived early which was even better. siena as always is very curious about the new baby, but not that thrilled about "her mama" holding it. however, she was totally into the diaper change that she carefully watched matt perform. it was really a special afternoon and evening in santa cruz with rebecca and her family. thank you for having us.

finnly's first.

siena and i drove down to santa cruz last weekend to celebrate finnly's first birthday. it was a hot and beautiful day filled with treats of all kinds, including cupcakes. i wish we could get to santa cruz more, it really is a nice place to spend time. quinn has a sweet garden growing in their backyard and siena liked picking the lettuce and eating it. she normally doesn't like lettuce, but fresh out of the ground i guess tastes different.

silliness.

auntie tashi brings out siena's silliness for sure. at dinner last week they made eating asparagus a crazy silly experience making us all laugh out loud.

friends.

it's been awhile since we had a chance to visit with hudson and rachel. so, we met up at a local park and had some fun. the babes were excited to see one another and got along rather well, sharing snacks and admiring the girls playing soccer on the field next to the park. it was a very pleasant afternoon.
