photo booth fun.

today we spend the day with natasha, aleishall, and her sweet 10-week-old toscana. it was a beautiful day of eating, laughter, and conversation. we even crammed into the photo booth to remember the day. i think we all enjoyed it except for siena, poor girl...

8 months old!

siena rose is 8 months old today. her spirit is really shinning through. i love spending our days together. if you look carefully at this photo you can see her little bottom tooth coming in.

vida's belly...

auntie vida is about 6 months pregnant with a baby boy. yesterday siena was bonding with her little friend that will be born in early december. siena was kissing and holding vida's belly, it was quite sweet. 

sabina turns two!

siena's friend sabina turned two this past week. we went to her party and had a great time. siena crawled all over the garden and got as dirty as could be. she had a ball. sabina is very sweet with siena. i enjoy watching them together. i look forward to the day when siena can really play with sabina.

Off to college!

Yesterday we hung out with Celia and Annie, our teenage friends that are leaving for college on Saturday. I have known them since I worked at Park Day School and they where in 5th grade. I can't believe they are off to college. It makes me think about how fast time passes and that soon Siena will be leaving to college too...

Teething!

Siena got her first tooth this week (Thank you to Mara for pointing it out to me on Wednesday). She had been pretty quiet about the fact that she was cutting a tooth, until last night! It was a long night of frequent wake-ups and up-sets. But we made it through and we will see what today brings. In this photo she is chewing on a hard, cold carrot, a new favorite pastime. 

Dottie & Lula!

This week Dottie, Lula, and their Mama's came over to play. The girls are all within a month and a half of one another. I feel like having friends is really beginning to mean something for Siena Rose, which is a pleasure to watch.

Miles and Siena have been friends for awhile, but we just today got some photos of them during a long overdue visit. Miles is a little shy of 2 months younger than Siena. He actually turned 6 months today! Miles is the son of my friends Meridith and Alan. I've known Alan since 2nd grade and Meridith since 7th. Meridith and I met-up again in prenatal yoga, it has been a pleasure being moms together. 

Wedding weekend!

We were invited to two weddings this weekend! Of course they were on the same day at the same time, but we were luckily able to celebrate with both couples. We went to a rehearsal dinner for Jen and Ricardo in the Mission. Siena stayed up until 11:00 and was pretty enjoyable. Devon and Aaron's wedding on Saturday was great. Siena made many new friends and even got down with her daddy on the dance floor. 

Crawling!

As promised a video of miss rose crawling. It has really started folks. Last night she was too excited to go to sleep. We stayed up until 10:30 and finally she was ready to rest. 

SF MOMA.

Yesterday we (Josah, Aaron, Muluk, Siena and myself) went to the SF MOMA to see the Frida Kahlo exhibit. It was Siena's first museum experience. A little crowded, but a beautiful show worth seeing.

Siena Rose is so much fun these days, I'm really enjoying spending our days together. She has so much energy and likes to enjoy herself wherever she is. People always told me that it just keeps getting better and now I really know what they meant. 

Boyfriends!

Siena has two main men in her life, Hudson and Levi. I guess monogamy isn't her thing...

Standing up!

Siena is now pulling herself up and standing by herself. She has also learned to crawl this past week, so we'll put up a video soon. 

Siena's friend Clem...

Clem is a good friend that lives in North Carolina and he hasn't seen Siena since she was a newborn. Clem seems to think he doesn't know what to do with babies, but Siena thinks he does just fine. 

7 months old!

Siena turned 7 months old while we were in Canada, OMG! Time has really gone by so quickly. I feel like she is already becoming a little girl. 

Seven things she does that makes us smile:

1. Watching her eat.

2. The new farting noise she makes.

3. When she splashes in the bath.

4. Watching her trying so hard to crawl.

5. The look she gives us when we greet her after a nap.

6. The face she makes as Georgia gives her kisses.

7. When she smiles back at us. 

It's a joy being her parents and at times hella hard too, but always totally worth it.

Canada!

We were in Canada for 9 days to celebrate Giancarlo and Nuria's wedding. It was a great family vacation for many reasons, but most importantly Siena was pure joy the whole trip. From the time we left Berkeley until the time we left Canada she was great. I think she liked being around so many people, not getting in a car everyday, riding in the boats, the fresh air and her daddy being around all the time. Siena also spent a lot of time on the ground and it looks like she may be crawling soon, yikes!
