fair.

last weekend siena and i went to the little farm fair with aleishall and toscana. it was a nice hot day so we drank lemonade and ate corn. as always siena was a little timid of the animals, but slowly got comfortable. there was some live music that the girls danced too and some crafts that aleishall and i took part in, the girls could have cared less about the crafts however. overall a nice sunday morning.

babysitting...

nick, siena and i babysat for sweet julius last weekend. it was jaime's birthday so her and pete went on a date. it was a real treat to watch the little guy (now 4 months old). siena really enjoyed herself and wanted to help with everything from changing diapers to feeding him his bottle. she also wanted him to sit in her lap which was a bit scary, but she was very careful and gentle.

baby shower.

last weekend we attended a shower for aaron and shannon who are having a baby girl very soon. it was at a great park in richmond, so siena had a lovely time. she got to get down at the playground with uncle rob, met a sweet girl named sienna, hung with her homie sinai, ate a vegi burger ketchup and all, helped to unwrap the present she saw me so carefully wrap and met a new little friend who we've been waiting to lay our hands on. it was a nice saturday.

hudson.

we've been missing hudson! we finally got to visit and catch up with him this past week. siena spent most of the visit in the nude, but put on her cowboy boots toward the end to spice it up. the pictures are cute, but i thought a bit racy for the blog.

a new friend.

these photos are a month old, but i wanted to share them anyways. aleishall, toscana, siena and i went over to visit julius before him and his family went to hawaii for the first time since his birth. it was a short but sweet visit and the girls where loving mr. julius. siena couldn't keep her hands off him and was working hard at being gentle. julius is going to have these girl's affection for a long time (hope he's ready).

after a few weeks of not seeing one another toscana and siena had a lovely reunion at a local park.

siena did eventually blow some bubbles, but of course i didn't get that on video. however, it was fun to watch how determined she was to figure the whole thing out.

papa carlo or uncle io celebrated his 33rd birthday this month with a huge thai feast. siena got to play with her beloved cousins (one of her favorite things to say is aya), but fell asleep before the yummy cake. we love uncle io!

santa fe...

we just got back from a week in santa fe. we went to see my good friend julia get married and also visit mimi. siena was so great on the plane and loved running around mimi's spacious home. we visited with my college girlfriends, went to many parks, visited museums, walked the farmer's market, ate plenty green chile and enjoyed the new mexican landscape. thanks to all that made it such a nice visit.

siena had so much fun wrestling with her cousin sophia. i love hearing that deep belly laughter.

vida, sinai and alexis came over to have lunch on my actual birthday. siena woke up from her nap and was thrilled to see her friend sinai sitting at the table. siena gave him lots of sweet hugs and helped me blow out another birthday candle. thank you vida for making my birthday even more special.

thirty.

so it was finally my chance to turn thirty this past monday. i got to celebrate with lots of people in many different ways throughout the month of august. one celebration was up in sonoma this past weekend. it was a beautiful sunday with loved ones and yummy food. the kids ran through the sprinklers and played in the sandbox. siena now loves sing "happy birthday," sometimes requesting to hear it over and over again. thank you to all who celebrated with me. i feel very loved.
