santa cruz...

josah, muluk, siena and myself went to santa cruz last weekend to visit rebecca. we got to see her new house and meet her boyfriend matt's kids, theo and tommy. we played in the yard, walked to the park, had a bar-b-que and just enjoyed each other's company. the kids all played really well together despite the age difference.   

graduation!

tutu bobbin graduated with her masters in art education last saturday. we went to sonoma to celebrate. siena got to visit with lots of friends and family including spending a long time in the goldman's pool with her dad, cousins, and auntie. siena loves to jump off the edge of the pool into nick's arms. siena is so proud of her grandma.

one of the kids favorite times of gymnastics is sharing each other's snacks after class is over.

totland.

last week we met katy and lucy at totland.  totland is a small toddler park in berkeley that is quite a popular spot for parents and nannies to bring young children. we went in the morning which was good beacuase i can imagine that the afternoon gets a bit crazy. totland has been around since i was a kid and i also used to go there when i babysat. this was siena's first time and i think we'll definitely go back. it had been a long time since we visited with katy and lucy. lucy is almost 2 and very darling as expected.  

julius!

our good friends pete and jaime had a beautiful baby boy on monday. his name is julius. we got to meet him yesterday. siena was very curious about the baby and seemed to know to be careful around him. a new friend, yippee!

stuff...

we used to just take siena's doll penny on a walk, but not anymore. now the stroller must be as full as possible with siena's stuff. the other day we took a walk with:

sophie the giraffe

a bunch of straws

a collection of six beasts 

doll from saint thomas

a ball

a few bracelets

and of course rain boots. 

weekend.

we spent much of the weekend with khalil and aya. they came for dinner and spent the night on saturday. in the way early morning aya crept into our bed with siena following suit soon after. thanks to siena we all woke-up very early on sunday morning and decided to go up to tilden to explore. first we went to the little farm which aya exclaimed was stinky. we saw 9 different animals according to khalil. after snacks and some time on the climbing structure we went to take a train ride. so much fun, haven't done that in over a decade. siena was way over tired, but loved the ride. we then had hamburgers and french fries for lunch. aya and siena mostly ate ketchup. it was a real treat to spend so much time together (not sure about having three kids however).

gymnastics.

siena really enjoys going to gymnastics with levi. he has many skills like hanging on the bar and jumping on the trampoline. siena is still running around the gym getting into everything. hopefully she'll learn from levi how to use the equipment correctly. either way it's a great way to get some energy released.

lunch with miss t.

siena did eventually share her beans with toscana. she would scoop up a huge spoonful and try her best to make it to toscana's mouth. toscana was a good sport until siena got a little too much on her face. the people sitting next to us were enjoying the show.

6, 11, 16.

sinai is about 6 months old, toscana is about 11 months and siena is just past 16 months. what changes in 5 months for a baby is amazing. how cute are these three?

friends...

although they don't get along all the time (i think they're too much alike), there's lots of love between baby siena and her older buddy muluk.
