sunday.

on sunday aleishall and toscana had all their mama friends over. it was a very nice time with good food and beautiful people. the girls got along well with the influx of other kids and healthy distractions. siena painted toscana's nails with colored pencils and of course they spent some time on their cell phones.

saturday afternoon we went to see yo gabba gabba, thanks to vida and her cousin who is the stage manager, or something fancy like that. it was an awesome experience complete with a guest appearance by biz markie and confetti falling from the sky.

last weekend was full of fun. we started off saturday with a birthday celebration for papa. siena let me braid her hair (which was magical) and we decided party hats were definitely in order.

baba!

we had a nice visit with baba last week. after dinner siena put lipstick on him (make-up is a new conversation in our household, grand!) and then gave him a kiss, which made her laugh. thank you for visiting, come again soon!

last saturday was so sunny and warm, we were able to get one last swim in at grandma magda and grandpa seymour's pool. rocco was a bit unsure at first and buried himself into nick's shoulder, but after a few minutes was enjoying the experience.

thanks to this bath seat vida lent us we can bathe the kids together now. siena is very excited and i'm sure auntie tashi will be too since she doesn't think we washed rocco enough.

we did it!

today was my first day back to work. i made it through with no tears and successful pumping. from roxana's (siena and rocco's caregiver) report rocco did great for his first full day at daycare. i'm so glad that the first day is over, now it's just all the other days we have to get through...

last...

since i go back to work this week, this past friday was our last fun day with tutuB. we did our usual routine, a visit to aquatic park to feed the ducks and play on the climbing structure, then a walk to get lunch, then a slow drive home for nap time. it's been nice having these last 6 months off of work to go on adventures with tutuB and the babes. thank you for all the fun times (and tolerating my crabby times as well). we love you deeply tutuB.

last week rocco and i rode bikes to lunch with uncle io. it was rocco's first time on a bike. we rode him in the ergo carrier. he was a little unsure at first, but got the hang of it toward the end.

rocco and i had a quick visit with vida and sinai last week for snacks on 4th street. i thought these were nice photos of the boys.

all fours...

in the last week rocco has started to get up on all fours and rocks back and forth. sometimes he does this lurch forward like a little frog jump. it's only a matter of time before that boy is on the go.

dillon beach...

last weekend gabe, sam and sadie invited us to their family beach house at dillon beach. we haven't been up there in awhile and it's always a treat. siena wore nick out running away from the water, we built some sand castles, checked out the tide pools at low tide, and just had a really nice time. we look forward to more family memories there over the years.
