pumpkin patch...

last minute tuesday morning rachel and i decided to take the babes to a pumpkin patch. we drove 45 minutes to an organic farm in marin. it was hot, there weren't many pumpkins left, and a dozen flies join our picnic lunch, but we got some adorable photos of hudson and siena. so all things considered it was well worth the trip. hudson dressed up as a sweet red apple and siena is rosie the riveter or an inmate, you choose.

on sunday siena's papa came over and she decided to do some major walking for us. we got this fun short clip for your viewing pleasure. enjoy.

today we visited with essie for brunch at the thai temple. papa came over for tea in the afternoon. and we had dinner with alexis and rob. what a pleasant sunday.

my friend aleishall and i took a wonderful yoga class this past weekend without our girls. so our babes hung out with their dads for the afternoon. it was quite a sweet sight to see the girls in slings on their dads as they came for a quick feeding. dads are the best.

we've had many friends over to visit our new home this past week. on thursday anna and levi came by in the morning, followed by tutu bobbin and then auntie tartar. it was a fun filled morning. 

uncle gabe...

tonight we had a lovely meal cooked for us by our dear friend gabe. siena got to play with gabe's nephew felix who is 21 months. siena loves being around other kids and i think older kids really captivate her.

today hudson and rachel came over to our new house (we moved on sunday. will post photos soon) to have lunch. hudson is, as always, cute as can be and is now crawling! siena shared her peas with hudson and also gave him many hugs, some that were a bit too physical. she can come on a little strong at times.

we went over to genevieve and darren's house for dinner the other night to celebrate darren passing his series 7 exam. as you can see siena was the life of the party.

walking!

since we got home from the east coast siena has become very interested in walking. she is pushing her push toy all around the house. on friday she took her first two steps independently and has had repeat performances both yesterday and today. it's pretty exciting over here. watch this video displaying her new skill.

siena's nyc aunties...

we visited with selena, lauren , and brooke while in the city. it was a treat to introduce my girl to lauren and brooke for the first time. we got some good quality time with all 3 aunties, which was precious. thank you all for spending time with us, it meant so much to me and siena of course.

the city was a little much for siena. the noises, the energy, the subway, the people, but all things considered she did great. she rode in a taxi for the first time, went to the met, and played on the swings in the central park. we couldn't have done it without grandma.

after a successful flight we arrived in boston. siena got to spend time with tutu bobbin, great aunt jill (aka auntie bubbles), uncle gus, and meet her second cousin ramona for the first time (i'm thinking we should call her auntie momo). my uncle david's memorial was both very beautiful and very sad. his ashes are buried in the most amazing cemetery, perfectly fitting for him.   

cambridge & nyc

we are leaving for a week to attend my uncle david's memorial service in cambridge and then visit some friends in nyc. will post photos when we return.  

music class.

today we had music class with toscana and aleishall. the class really tires the little ladies out. i like that their heads are falling the same way, too damn cute.
