four.

our friend aida turned four this past week. we went to her fun birthday party in the city on saturday. siena got lots of love from zayneb, shared strawberries with dottie and somehow left the party with four balloons. the best part of the party was singing twinkle twinkle instead of happy birthday, very original aida.  

last week...

last week two great things happened. siena ate her first mini burrito (she was thrilled) and we went thrift store shopping with our sweet friends anuta and isobel. both events were quite enjoyable i must say.

siena's mimi...

siena has been loving having her mimi here for the past few months. every time mimi comes to the door of our house or we drive up to her house siena begins to squeal while doing a little dance of joy. we'll miss her when she leaves and look forward to her return. 

too hot...

yesterday was too hot! the girls had to strip down to their diapers and then take a dip. toscana also needed to take a taste of siena as they cuddled in the hallway.

the best dad.

since it has been crazy hot here nick surprised siena and came home with a kiddie pool. he even got in with her, what a great dad. siena also brought penny her doll in because she needed to cool off too.

celebration...

it was aleishall's birthday so we had to celebrate with a girls lunch. i know the girls don't look that happy at lunch, but they actually had a good time. after lunch siena found some perfectly sized chairs to take a rest in with her friend miss t. 

dillon beach.

it was uncle gabe's 30th so we went to dillon beach to celebrate. siena played boggle with gabe and sammy, dug in the sand with lindsey, gave auntie genevieve some love, hung with her daddy, pushed around a shopping cart on the deck over and over, kissed sinai, kicked it with uncle pete, and took a ride with her mama. it was a busy weekend and so much fun!

in the mission.

last week we visited our friend essie at her place in the mission. we had a late breakfast at her house, siena ate two hard boiled eggs! we played in essie's beautiful city garden. then we went shoe shopping (don't worry i didn't buy her the ones with the heels, yikes!). siena walked her doll, penny, down 24th street and finally we had a little time at a park. it was a fun full day. thank you essie.

head over heels...

last week siena began a tumbling class with her friend levi at a local gymnastics place. she was a bit overwhelmed by the large gym, but quickly followed levi's lead and began exploring. she jumped on the large trampoline, jumped into the foam pit, tried to walked on the balance beam, and especially like the large yellow bouncy ball. i look forward to see what she does in class this week.

easter.

we went up to sonoma to celebrate easter with my parents. siena got to visit with lots of friends, including having a egg hunt with the collins' grandkids, well more like watching them have an egg hunt. she wore her fuzzy pink bunny jacket that lori gave her, it was a little tight but so cute. siena also wore her new hanky made by aleishall (thank you, it's darling!). the highlight of the day was eating some jelly beans. she wanted more and more, but we had to cut her off. then she waded in the pool with levi. she actually went to far in right as we were getting ready to leave and anna saved her (thank you again for that). oh and siena has learned how to smell flowers, she even goes up to bushes and leans in for a sniff. 

golden gate park.

i've been wanting to make it to golden gate park ever since the weather has become so nice. finally we made it happen this past saturday. siena played in the big playground that is totally awesome, went on the carousel, wrestled with her daddy on the grass, and then had a picnic with genevieve and darren. a very nice saturday afternoon.
