mr. sinai...

the weekend before last, before siena and i fell totally ill, siena got to play with her buddy sinai at gabe and sammy's housewarming party. siena had a great time at the party because there were all sorts of little friends to play with, lots of snacks (siena is downing water from the soda can just for your information) and we even went down to the lake to feed the birds bread, which was definitely the highlight of the evening. however, i didn't take too many photos of the experience.

last week siena and georgia enjoyed the last of the summer sun and the last of the season's watermelon together on the front stairs.

cousin cupcakes!

aya and siena got busy in the sandbox making cousin cupcakes. they were made to order and super yummy!

fun at papa's...

we had a nice family dinner at papa's the other night. as always siena really enjoyed seeing her cousin sophia who played nicely with her and even read siena some books. siena is very interested in books these days, but likes to also read them to herself with an adult close by in case she wants it read to her.

dottie and mara.

we visited with dottie and mara in the city last week. the girls let me put clips in their hair, siena buckled dottie into her stroller and then they gave one another a high five, we went to the pet store to see the fish which siena calls sushi, then played at the park and finished off the date with lunch. it was a nice full morning. thanks for having us ladies.

puzzles.

puzzles are a new favorite pastime of miss siena rose. she is growing up everyday.

BEST!

i think sunday was the best day of being a mom so far. siena let me put clips in her hair! it was magical. she wanted me to put every single one and waited patiently as i fumbled the little clips between my fingers. after i was done she admired herself in the mirror for a few minutes. i really can't put into words how happy the whole experience made me. it was a simple pleasure for sure.

tyler & hudson!

we hung with hudson and his big brother tyler last week. siena loved playing with tyler and watched his every move really closely. it was also nice having tyler there because hudson didn't even noticed that his parents were gone. i think we need to adopt an older child for siena to play with. she might like being the baby opposed to a big sister.

calistoga.

last weekend we went to calistoga with tutu and baba. we stayed at indian springs which is totally kid friendly and has this large naturally heated pool which siena loved. siena also got to eat a few jelly beans which made her so happy she gave us all multiple kisses. we enjoyed the large grassy area outside our rooms, ate good food, and nick and i even went on a date. thanks you tutu and baba for such a nice weekend.

fully bell farm.

tutu, uncle io and i took all the kids to the yearly festival at full belly farms. it was a long drive, but totally worth it. we saw baby chicks and cows, made our own salsa, listened to great music, took a horse and carriage ride, ran into our friend melanie and her kids, ate fresh churned ice cream, played in the pomegranate bushes, ate walnuts from the trees and so much more. i love seeing the cousins play together.

a favorite spot...

siena has found a new favorite spot in sonoma. there is a little daybed area in the guest room where she likes to read herself books and play with some of tutu's decorations. every time we went to the room siena immediately wanted me to lift her up to the bed so she could get down to business.

tutu & baba.

we've been up in sonoma the past two weekends helping my parents complete their barn/studio project (one of the many reasons for my lack of posts). siena really enjoyed being up there despite being a little under the weather the first weekend. she especially likes to eat with tutu and baba at the kitchen counter.

fire.

muluk has been asking uncle nick to make a fire in our fire pit for awhile now. the other night it was finally the right time. siena and muluk both helped to prep the wood and paper then nick lit it up. we even ate yummy banana bread around the fire that vida made for us (thanks again vida, that was a special treat).

sweet levi...

a while ago (i know i've been bad about posting lately. i apologize and hope that we didn't loose any viewers) we joined anna and levi at the little farm. the kids fed the new baby cows, geese and goats. i think this was the first time that siena was actually comfortable enough to feed the animals. it must have helped that levi was doing it also. it's so much fun hanging with levi because he's just a little bit older which makes him more skilled and talkative which siena loves. as we walked to the playground to eat snacks they held hands, it made my heart melt. we love hanging with levi (and anna too).
