sabina!

we had a lovely evening with sophie and sabina and now siena can't stop talking about her friend sabina. within minutes of reuniting the girls were dancing around khalil and aya's living room like old friends. we'll have to travel north to visit them again soon.

recently at the park with friends, muluk, stella and emmett, we met an eight month old named rok who resembled rocco not only in name.

rocco is eleven months old. he is officially a walker, eats eggs, loves balls, has moved into his own room, wakes up in the morning saying his word for georgia "doe, doe, doe," wants to do everything siena does and gets pissed if we hold him back, has a great smile, and is just plain lovable.

natalie and sisi are pretty much best buddies. from natalie's playful ways to her horse bishop she scores big with siena.

picnic with toscana...

we had a short but sweet picnic with toscana and aleishall last weekend. rocco only slept for a moment, but that's the only photo i got with at least part of him in it. the park was beautiful and the food was yummy. we'll have to do it again very soon.

lunch with zeke.

rebecca and zeke came up from santa cruz to enjoy an afternoon with rocco and myself. it was a very nice visit even though rocco was a little under the weather. zeke is only 6 weeks older than rocco, but he looks like such an older boy for some reason. maybe it's the hair.

sadie turned one and her parents put on a great party. all the kids enjoyed themselves as they played with the great spread of toys and the adults had a good time as well. happy first miss sadie!

i made the mistake of checking in with aya and siena as they were playing and siena took one look at me and said, "ugh, go away mom." i wanted to both laugh and cry.

ten.

at ten months rocco is walking, but still prefers to crawl, has 7 teeth, makes many sounds including mama & dada, has a word for ball that sounds kinda like ball, giggles often especially with his sisi, is still not a great sleeper, loves avocados, lights up when he hears music, is starting to wave hi and bye, will not sit still, and has earned the nickname "little trouble" since he gets into everything.
